Power Transmission Elastomeric Couplings
An elastomer (elastic polymer) is a type of plastic with high failure strain. Mechanical power transmission elastomeric couplings use this property to connect driving and driven equipment with a tough, flexible and lightweight connecting element. Many elastomeric coupling brands have joints with limited travel distances between the joint components. Often, couplings have severe limitations on size, service clearance and rotational inertia. These factors make an accurate coupling design a difficult task, which can be helped by a clearer understanding of the coupling’s functions. Let BK Industrial Solutions experienced personnel assist you with your equipment’s coupling specifications.

Rexnord Omega Couplings
Power Transmission Elastomeric Couplings
ATEX certified Omega elastomeric couplings are available in 15 sizes with up to 11 inch (279 mm) bore capacity, from BK Industrial Solutions. Rexnord Omega couplings are material-flexing couplings, with no lubrication required, widely used in industrial applications. The elastomeric element design gives exceptional misalignment capacity and superior vibration dampening capability, protecting and extending the life of connected equipment, and reducing overall downtime. This coupling offers easy installation and a wide range of shaft gaps, which is the distance between shaft ends.
Dodge Elastomeric Couplings
Power Transmission Elastomeric Couplings
BK Industrial Solutions offers D-Flex and Paraflex couplings, to get your rotating equipment up and running quickly and efficiently. The four-way flexible design of D- Flex Couplings withstands vibration, shock, and misalignment. These Dodge couplings need no lubrication; they are available as low-cost J couplings, or type B standard QD-bushed couplings. The Dodge Para-flex Coupling uses flanges that mechanically clamp to a reinforced elastomeric element, and are compatible with press-fit or friction-fit shafts.
